- Re-instituted the DARE program in our children’s schools.

- Re-established the Sheriff’s K-9 program, after a 20 year absence. Funding came from a $50,000 NYS “Impact Tools” grant.
- Created a Gang Intelligence program with a full time dedicated Investigator.
- Created an Internal Affairs Bureau to maintain professional standards and investigate allegations of misconduct within the Sheriff’s Office.
- Served as chairman of the Zone 4 Counter-Terrorism Committee.
- Established a 24 hour crime tips hotline to receive confidential information.
- Established a Senior Citizens hotline to address the concerns of our most vulnerable citizens.

- Increased training for employees in all 4 Divisions of the Sheriff’s Office.
- Obtained a grant to buy ballistic vests for Deputies in the Jail.
- Updated the Marine Patrol with new equipment and training.
- Established a Tactical Response Team to deal with critical incidents in a timely manner.
- Established a “first of its kind” school resource officer program at Sullivan County Community College.
- Also partnered with Sullivan County Community College to implement safety patrols in the evening at the college’s dormitory.
- Obtained a grant for the first mobile license plate reader in Sullivan County.
- Extended business hours for the Sheriff’s Civil Division between Memorial Day and Labor Day to make it more convenient for the public.

- Created a community outreach program to interact with all the citizens of Sullivan County.
